Nature's Gift Bananas is a 28-hectare banana farm located on the Kumbali Estate in Lilongwe, Malawi. The farm boasts over 60,000 banana plants, primarily of the Williams variety but also including some plantains. The bananas produced on this farm are widely regarded as the best quality bananas in Malawi.
To maintain the high quality of our crop, Nature's Gift Bananas handles the banana plants with specialized equipment during harvesting and transport to minimize damage.
By producing bananas locally, Nature's Gift Bananas is helping to save Malawi valuable forex that would otherwise be spent on importing bananas from Tanzania. The farm is also promoting local agriculture and economies by selling mostly to local vendors and wholesalers.
The farm offers training to individuals interested in starting their own banana farm, sharing knowledge and experience in sustainable farming practices. Additionally, visitors to the Kumbali Estate can enjoy banana tours, including weekly scheduled group tours and individual tours for lodge residents.

You can choose to buy bananas in their natural state, still attached to the stalk, for a truly fresh and authentic experience. Alternatively, we also provide treated and processed bananas that are ready for direct sale to consumers.
